The Wolf: a poetry magazine edited by James Byrne

The Wolf is a poetry magazine that publishes new work by emerging and established writers. Its founders were James Byrne and Nicholas Cobic, who started it in April 2002. Byrne is the editor, and issues come out three times a year. It has received Arts Council funding since January 2008, and its content was increased by a third once the grant began. The magazine is perfect bound.

The welcome page described an issue with a review of the Bloodaxe anthology of Indian poetry, a piece on Zukofsky titled 'Ordering Of Bottom', and poems by Ruth Padel, Siddhartha Bose and Todd Swift. A news item announced an event at which The Wolf and Poetry Wales commemorated Dylan Thomas and Sylvia Plath, on 11 February.
