The Wolf poetry magazine: print and digital copies, anthology and stockists
This page set out how readers could obtain The Wolf, a British poetry magazine. Single issues and annual subscriptions were offered in sterling for the United Kingdom and Europe and in dollars for readers in the United States, with payment through an online service. A digital PDF edition of the latest issue was available as well, at a lower price than the printed copy. Back issues had to be requested by number, and the page said that nothing earlier than issue 12 could be supplied and that stocks of issues 12 to 18 were limited.
A separate section described The Wolf: A Decade (Poems 2002-2012), an anthology edited by James Byrne. It was presented as a gathering of some of the best work printed in the magazine since its start, with poems by writers ranging from Adonis and Anne Carson to Niall McDevitt, John Kinsella and Patti Smith. The book was a perfect-bound, limited-edition paperback of 160 pages, and the page recorded it as out of stock.
The remainder of the page was a directory of shops and libraries that carried the magazine, grouped by country. In England it listed Albion Beatnik in Oxford, Heffers in Cambridge, Foyles and the London Review of Books bookshop in London, the Poetry Library at the Royal Festival Hall, West End Lane Books, Cornerhouse Books in Manchester and News From Nowhere in Liverpool. The Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh stood for Scotland, and Shakespeare and Company in Paris for France. American outlets included Quimby's in Chicago, City Lights in San Francisco, the Grolier Poetry Book Shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and several New York addresses such as McNally Jackson, St Marks Books and Poets House, along with university libraries at Harvard, Buffalo and New York University. Further entries covered Dublin, Amsterdam and Mumbai.
