The Wolf 1, September 2002: contents of the first print issue

Issue 1 of The Wolf is dated September 2002. It begins with The Editors' Introduction and then lists poems by Robert Yates, Jason King, Nicholas Cobic, Heather Taylor, Nigel Lawrence, Yvonne Greene, Sean Martin and others. Katy Evans-Bush appears with an essay titled The Shield of Achilles in the twenty-first century, and a poem, Life (a dream).

The interview is with Michael Donaghy, followed by his poem My Flu. Nicholas Cobic writes on Branko Miljkovic (the piece is headed Killed by a Too Powerful Word), with three poems by Miljkovic. A section called Wolf World carries poems by Ted Hughes, Vasko Popa and others. Two books are reviewed: The Ice Age by Paul Farley and The Light Trap by John Burnside, each followed by a poem by its author. The issue closes with poems by Niall O'Sullivan and James Byrne and a page of credits.
